Fangorn Forest carries the scent of ancient earth, a deep, rich patchouli-like aroma rising from thick layers of moss and fallen leaves. Woven through that is the warm, resinous scent of cedar, as if the great trees are exhaling slowly after centuries of standing watch. The air is lifted by the crisp greenness of white fir, cool and bright, adding a sharp, living edge to the forest’s heaviness.
