A Natural Progression

A bit about me. My Story is a personal one.

My journey toward creating natural beauty products began long before I could walk. You might even say I was born to do this work, which I learned from the examples of my grandmother, whose resilience in the face of scarcity taught me how to make beauty out of whatever I have access to, and my parents—two free thinkers who encouraged us to believe if there is a change to be made for the better, we should be that change.

Like many women growing up in Europe after World War II, my grandmother often found herself without any of the things we take for granted—fresh foods, oil, soaps. In the face of adversity, she became resourceful. My grandmother discovered the magic of taking what little she had and transforming it into the things her family needed. She also taught us all about the importance of transparency: when we create DIY products, we know exactly what these products contain, and we can therefore control what we put in, on, and around our bodies.

My parents learned from her and also translated her abilities into a message that serves as the foundation of TT’s Nothing But Nature’s Goodness, LLC. They believed that we need to look in ourselves so that we can find the tools we need to change the world for the better.

It might seem like a natural progression for me to become a small business owner. My grandmother and parents couldn’t have known that their lessons were preparing me for something far worse. I experienced domestic violence and, in my darkest moments, had to utilize the ideas and skills they’d given me to slowly write a new story from myself.

My story is personal. It is also a component of why I am so passionate about sharing these products and ensuring that they adhere to my rigorous standards on physical and emotional levels. I create them from a place of healing, and I share them with others to help them realize strength does not have to come at the expense of beauty, kindness, and compassion.

TT’s Nothing But Nature’s Goodness LLC began in my basement as a labor of love, when our family started moving away from using commercial skincare products. I discovered that I share my grandmother’s gift for creating usable products from the most naturally sourced ingredients, and I found I could integrate my artistic vision with my knowledge of soap making, essential oils, and environmentally-friendly practices.

As an artist and lover of nature, I possess a strong connection with the materials I use. I shop for local ingredients so that I can support other small businesses and retain a real connection to the community—we have access to such special products here, like Wisconsin lavender and wax from small, local beekeepers.

All of these products are natural and organic. Our products are all cruelty-free, and many are vegan. They are artistic without being artificial and filled with natural fragrances that support your natural beauty. I want you to feel good about what you’re putting on your body. I also want everyone who purchases these products to know that I view this as a calling that helped me find a voice and reclaim my story after experiencing abuse, which is a message I intrinsically share by creating these products with love—and that I externally support by working with a local domestic violence shelter and trying to find ways to empower others, either by serving as a role model, telling my story, or making small donations of products to the kinds of places that share my vision of non-judgment, kindness, and resiliency in the midst of profound difficulties.

Most Gratefully,

TT
